CHANGES--CHANGES!!!

I am going to be using this blog site for what I had "originally" in tented it for--and that was more of a record of my monthly goals and accomplishments.

It has gotten alittle confusing to some for me to have two posts and then there is the time it takes to keep up with two posts--you are still welcome to keep an eye on this blog site if you want and to see how I am doing on my goals list--I plan (??) to update my goal list weekly as to what I did that week!!!

I will also use this site as to what Quilt companies I order from--ect. and like the Minnesota Blog Shop list.

BACK IN THE SADDLE!!!!

I think I have my quilt time and energy back--it feels, sooooo, good!! I am not totally finished on the apartment--but I realize that I will never be totally finished--there is always a new treasure that will walk home with me, or a gift that needs displaying--so on it goes???/

OK let's see--oh I got this piece of fabric the last time I was in the quilt shop--wasn't sure what I would do with it?????
I had noticed it because the shop owner had made a nice bag out of it---But this is what I did with my 1/2 yard today--
Can you tell what I made????
Bet you can tell now---I made a sewing machine cover for my Brothers Machine--and as you can see from the above picture it looks so charming on it> Then I heard this little "psst" behind me and I realized it was my old faithful singer saying "what about me"--so she got one too--
But I used some of the new curtain fabric to cover this one as the table it sets on is right under the window with the new curtain--so now both machines are happy!!!!!

Block 6 of the Tisket, A Tasket blocks--again though I have done mine into a door hanging and it now is hung there -- I really like doing these and finishing them and hanging them on the door.

A little --but--

I keep telling myself that every little bit of stitching or cutting of fabric is one step closer to getting a project done----AND---those few stitches each day means---that it was a good day, because I at least got to put those "few" stitches in and that is better than a day with "NO" stitches in--RIGHT???????????

Started the actual embroidery on the Shabby Roses blocks to day while doing laundry, and got a little bit more applique done on two projects, and the border fabric cut for the Tisket/Tasket block--but I mainly did those "other" things that pop up -- like the laundry and stuff.

Maybe tomorrow I will get something totally finished and take a picture for you all--in the mean time--may all your stitching go as planned

A little bit here and there??

I have gotten alittle sewing done--the Tisket/Tasket block in now in the hand quilting stage--remember I make each of these monthly blocks in to wall hanging for my apartment door, can't wait to get this one up--I like the colors I used on it.

AND would you believe I have the applique heart done on the Shabby roses first block--did that last night between midnight and 1:00 this morning when I couldn't sleep cause of a tummy ache!!! And I do believe I stitched it smaller and neater than during my daytime stitching--CRAZY!!!

Finally---

I have finally gotten a little work done on some BOM'S and here what is done for block #6 :
The V.Veiws block is done;
And the Christmas wish is all done; and I have some of the Tisket-Tasket block done--so I am on a roll here?????

We went to a local book sale yesterday--the "We" is all three of us sisters--it is a yearly event for my family--that whom ever is in town go. I was very lucky this year and I found some neat quilting books:
The hardcover books like these are $2.00 each--the border one is a 2008 book!!!!!

And here is Mrs. Perkins in her newest home:
She really likes it here--says it has the feel of a real home!!!!

A block is finished--

I actually got a little stitching done today!!!! Got another one of the Orchid blocks done and pressed--that makes 3 done and 3 to go yet:

Plus I got about half of the newest Ver. Views block, stitched--I really miss not having so much time to stitch--but I think my sister and I are about done here--with all the re-doing--yet, I look around and still see things that need to be done--so my question is "IS IT EVER DONE"??????

I prepped today???/

I did get some work done today in the line of setting up the prep work for at least 4 projects, 3 are bom block #6 and I did finally decide on fabrics for the Shabby roses blocks and got the first 3 blocks ready to do applique and the embroidery on them--so I will be busy--if I get any time this week to work. MY sister and I have to finish my decorating before Friday, as after that she will be getting ready and moving into a new apartment--she will be moving in here at Jefferson Village--so she will be close by for me to keep on "eye" on her???? Or maybe it will be to keep an "eye" on me?????

I also finished a project--Mrs. Perkins is all done and she is quite the LADY--I do have a couple pictures to share tonight, but will take another one tomorrow, before it gets soo dark as she is more "colorful" than I believe these pictures show:

She was alot of fun to do,--but I also remembered "why" I don't do much of this kind of craft anymore!!!!!! But I may have to break down and do a couple dolls or rabbit dolls for my new look--the only ones I can find for sale are too plain and mostly too primitive for me---SOOOOO!!!!!

I DID STITCH TODAY--YES!!!!

Even though I did alot of machine stitching on things for the kitchen, I did take a small break this afternoon and I worked on my applique, Bali Orchid block--this one has bright yellow orchids on it, hope to get it finished before too many of the BOM's come in--Well, one can only "hope", right???

Last Year our maintenance man, John, planted just a dozen strawberry plants, and we did lose a couple--so I was very surprised by this years plants and then by the blossom's and now by the little and the big green berries that are coming--strawberry shortcake here I come!!!!

I am going to be in the "dog house"

OH Boy--I bet little sister puts me in the dog-house one day soon?????? You see yesterday while at the quilt shop we decided on a blue and yellow plaid fabric for my living/dinningroom windows!! But tonight while doing some shopping on line I found a much prettier and dresser fabric on sale for $4.00 a yard that I believe will look much better???? (So now I have 3 yards of plaid to figure out what to do with--I am so glad that it is "legal" and "expected" that every quilter have a "stash"--or I would be in real trouble here!!!!!!!!!

Do you see the bumble bee sitting on the stone??? I felt like one to day -- buzzing here and there!! But I did get some work done too--so guess it was a good day.

My part is finished!!!!

Welllll---My part of this shop model is not all done--but, boy do I hate to turn this one back into the shop--I really like it---it is so me??????
After I got this done, I made a valance curtain for the bedroom--but it was "quitting" time before we got it hung--maybe tomorrow afternoon????
