Welcome to Di's Place!!!
Well--let's see--I needed to do a letter to Santa on my other site--Quilting is Blissfull--so I will put some of the things here I had planned for there---
And it will be your lucky night/day--cause this is also my 100th post for this site!!!!! ( have alot more posts on the other site!!!)
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO---any one leaving a comment here will be in for a drawing----how does that sound--oh what is the drawing--Hummm---I will have to check with one of my elves!!!!!
HERE IS SOME MORE WAYS TO SAY "MERRY CHRISTMAS"
Take your favorite "Dancer" out on the town!!!!!
Encourage Frosty to put down that "corncob pipe" and engage in more healthful pursuits!!
Don't forget to thank Mrs. Claus for being the "power" behind the sleigh!!
Thaw out a "Jack Frost" with a kind word or deed!!!!
And caring words and deeds are the "candy canes" of the holiday season. Hand them out to everyone you see!!!
And as I have talked about Santa
I also want to talk about this:
I Believe---

COUNT DOWN IS ON!!!!
OH Dear the count down to Christmas is getting nearing the end---and yet some of us are just at the beginning!!!!! How crazy it that?????
In "buzzing" around Blogland I have discovered to two things---
1. You are pretty much all done and ready for "C" day---
OR
2. you are in a "panic" mode, cause you are just starting to get ready for "C" day!!!!
OH WHAT FUN IT IS TO RIDE IN AN OPEN SLEIGH---you never know what will drop down in to it??????
REMEMBER TO TAKE A BREAK NOW AND THEN AND ENJOY THE SIGHTS, SMELLS, AND TASTES OF THE HOLIDAY----

December 6th---
Let's see we have "17" more great days to enjoy getting ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day---
Now here is a new idea for you--
either during a Christmas eve gathering or sometime on Christmas day--pass around a plate of fortune cookies--then have each one read their's--or this might be something fun to start off the New Year with????
If you already do this let me know or if you try it for this year at some point, please let me know how it comes out!!! Thanks!!!!

December 3th----
IT IS OKAY TO SAY "NO"---
LEARN to say "NO"!!!!! We all try to do more than is "humanly" possible during this holiday season--we want to do it all--be all--have all--go to every function and party--and out do what we gave as gifts last year!!!!
Well--let's just take a seat--with a cup of tea or coffee and ask ourselves--what is it that you really enjoy doing this year for the holidays--maybe it's baking a zillion different kinds of cookies--or maybe you just love to wrap gifts up really pretty--or you love to make everyone homemade gifts--or you enjoy doing all kinds of activities with the kids and for the kids--maybe it has to do with your Church----
What ever you come up with--make that your "passion" this year and then say "NO" to some other activities so you can enjoy doing your passion--it might mean buying cookies from the bakery--have someone else wrap your gifts---what ever it takes--to free you up to enjoy your passion this holiday season!!!
WHAT IS YOUR PASSION GOING TO BE?????????
My "passion" this year is to spend as much time as I can with a friend who is in the last stage of cancer---I will still do some other things--but if I only get to bake one batch of cookies that;s ok--and maybe the zillion things to quilt on my wish list won't get done--but that is ok---there is after the holidays--who says Christmas is only one day the 25th of December??????
Please take some breaks and listen to some Christmas music and enjoy a "cuppa" each and every day in December!

WEDNESDAY--DEC.2--
On the first Wed of the month of Christmas--
Care of our cookie cutters:
the best way to clean cookie cutters is to carefully brush the crumbs away with a toothbrush. If you must use water, thoroughly blow dry with a hairdryer to prevent rusting. Never wash in the dishwasher or dry in an oven!!!
Another use for your cookie cutters is to tie them with red and green--or what ever your color scheme is this year and hang them in a window--pretty!!!

HAPPY DECEMBER 1ST!!!
OK we have made it to the Christmas month--so now what?????
IDEA: keep an old candle stub in your recipe box and when you write out and add a new recipe to the box--just rub the candle briskly over the card--then spills will wipe off easily and it keeps the card from smudging!!
Don't know what to do or get some one--buy the new calendar year calendars and fill in birthdays, anniversaries, and other important information for all during the year--add stickers--or stamping to some days--maybe ideas or a new recipe or quote here and there--whatever to make it personal for the person!
See ya tomorrow--Hugs, Di
